I hired GDM Landscape to landscape my back yard. I got the companys name from someone they have done work for. Grant was amazing as the owner he is extremely involved has a eye for detail & does exceptional work! During the project lots of obstacles arose like any construction project, but grant has so many contacts he was able to help me quickly resolve them. His crew was very respectful and trustworthy which was a big concern of my as I have a young wife & daughter at home. I would give the company 10 if I could it turned out even better than expected.

We hired Grant to build the front and backyard of our brand new home, which sits on a 10,000 sq ft lot. Grant and his team successfully transformed a big piece of dirt into an absolutely beautiful outdoor space! His workmanship and attention to detail are superior. Grant never takes shortcuts and only uses the best materials out there to build outdoor spaces that last for years and years to come.
Grant takes a lot of pride in his work and has a lot of integrity. It is not often that you work with contractors who are honest, have a strong work ethic, and will do their very best to deliver every single time. GMD exceeded our expectations in every way, and Grant was an absolute pleasure to work with!
Contracted with GDM to provide Landscaping on a house remodel project in HB. As we increased the scope of our project, Grant and his team were instrumental in so many ways getting us the backyard we dreamed of. We ended up with amenities in the front and backyard which would rival 5 star hotels anywhere. Grant and his team were true to their word, very courteous, honest, cleaned up constantly, quick to complete projects and the workmanship was fantastic. Many times contractors don’t live up to their promises, Grant did what he said he’d do and he managed his team and the process which I was thankful didn’t have to do. We couldn’t ask for more, we’re raving fans.

I am pleased to provide this reference for Grant McCorkle of GDM Landscape. GDM completed our intricate, high-end landscaping on our waterfront home in Newport Beach, CA. The project was complex as the stone was designed on CAD with a renowned stone fabricator from Seattle, WA and fabricated by hand in China and shipped to the US. Grant’s team handled everything from the laying of beautiful sand-set hand finished granite pavers to landscape walls with templated wall caps of high end limestone to an integrated sprinkler system, high end lighting and all plantings. Our project had a licensed Landscape Architect with detailed plans. Grant himself weighed in many times with better recommendations for plants and ideas. He also brought in an expert team to design our gates and fountain for this waterfront home. Grant was communicative and a great problem solver as he took over work reserved for other masonry subcontractors who could not complete their work timely.
Grant specifies and installs high-end and very durable lighting and has a great team who have worked with him for some time. I highly recommend GDM landscape. I am a commercial real estate professional that executes large, institutional quality projects and GDM Landscape performed to my high standards and stood tall whenever there was an issue.
Nearly five years after our project was completed, Grant has assisted me twice to source replacement parts for lighting that was inadvertently damaged. He returns calls and cares. That says more than anything about standing behind his work and his ethics.
Grant is a “completionist”. That may or may not be a new word but it means that he works diligently and professionally until the job is completely done. Many in our business leave “loose ends” and it drives me crazy. Grant and his team see to it that every detail gets installed in a timely manner, with a healthy dose of creativity as needed. His great work ethic and “can do, no problem” attitude are a blessing. I will continue to use him on my jobs. He is a true asset.
Grant has a great crew who was able to turn my front, back, and side yards into an oasis that fit my simple and modern taste, while still complementing the feel of my neighborhood. We ran into a couple snafus in the project as is expected in any project, but Grant was able to take care of the problems graciously at his own cost to make sure I got the final product that we talked about. All my neighbors and friends have complimented GDM’s workmanship, Greatly appreciated Grant’s knowledge and expertise, be in it plants, hardscape, lighting, etc.

Tried and True. We worked with Grant of GDM over 9 years ago on our new home in Turtle Ridge, Irvine CA. It was a great experience then and after 10 years of enjoying our home and yard the WOW factor remains. There is not a day when we go to our backyard and let out a deep SIGH with pleasure. They made the landscape an extension of our living space. The quality, of workmanship has held over the years. They have been super nice about returning to advice and help with any issues as recently as last 2 months almost 9 years after project is completed.
During the construction process they were knowledgeable, professional about keeping our budget in check. No runaway costs or surprise expenses and finished ON time.

GDM provided hardscape and landscape services as part of our backyard extensive remodel that included renovation of a casita and pool as well as front yard. Recommended by our general contractor, we found Grant able to interface well with the general’s team, subcontractors, the architect and us homeowners. The project spanned over a year and GDM was there for many stages. They laid a new, extensive concrete patio, as well as poolside planters, large board form fire pit, tile work on the pool, establish hillside path and entire new front driveway and planters. They worked with us to refine our landscape and outdoor lighting plan and plant numerous bushes, trees, flowers, grass, etc and select all the fixtures. The job all looks beautiful as photos will show. We are very happy with the end product and the fact that if we have any issue, Grant is there to assist and responds quickly with a positive attitude.
GDM Landscape did an excellent job on our backyard. They are not your typical landscape company, the softscape they use are varieties that are not your everyday plants, so our home stands out in the neighborhood. When it comes to hardscape, GDM is innovative and uses materials and craftmenship that is not common in your average Orange County property. We will be using this company again in the future
We contracted with Grant of GDM Landscaping to implement a new design for our front and backyards. The plan called for a lot of new cement, natural stone hardscape (e.g. large BBQ Island, fire pit, fountain, and a sizeable planter wall) as well as new plants. Wishing to be eco-friendly, many beautiful and colorful drought friendly plants and trees were used. And to ensure a low maintenance yard, an automatic sprinkler system and new drains were installed.
Working with Grant and his crew each day was exciting and a lot of fun. He and his crew transformed an outdated space into our own private resort. We couldn’t be happier! We highly recommend Grant and his team!

When we started my husband and I were all over the place with ideas, not really having a good plan. But after meeting with Ray and Grant all of our frustrations regarding design were put to rest. They helped us to create a plan that was cohesive to both our desires and made the process so easy. Our backyard was brought to life with their design! Today this day I’m so excited to go outside and can’t really believe that this is our backyard!!
After the design was complete the demo process started. They had a pretty big demo job to do having to remove a lot of dirt as we moved retaining walls and they did it pretty quick. Then the fun started and the walls went up, the fireplace went in and the bar went up. They created the most wonderful lighting plan for the walls, bar and landscape. It makes evenings in the yard so relaxing.
Overall, we had a very positive experience working with Grant. He is a really great and easy to going even with all of our change orders . The project stayed on budget aside from our changes and was completed on schedule.

I have just completed my second major landscape project with Grant and the team at GDM. The 1st one was 12 years ago and it was a complete landscape project including new jacuzzi, trees, walls, concrete, softscape, etc. I honestly had no idea what to do as I was designing everything myself. Grant very quickly put together a beautiful design for my front and backyard and came up with ideas that I never would have, I still love it today.
The second project was redoing my pool and incorporating a cabana complete with tv, bar and seating. We also redid large sections of concrete to create a really nice space to entertain this summer.
The entire process with Grant is always very collaborative as he actually listens to you and helps your vision become a reality or even helps you create your vision.
